Paul: Good luck with your work, I think you take a different tack when approaching SF and that's refreshing in these times of formulas and hacks like Kevin J.
Gosh ditto!!! I hate how who I am becomes more important than what I write... It is in fact my biggest fear about writing, that I may get good enough at it to get the attention I hate along with the money I love :D ....

Your words are beautiful!

Cool, still loving all these stories, different streams, single kind of voice, or genre or something but they all rock. Are you selling them somewhere? There's gotta be a market for stuff this cool and well written. The gangster, The scifi, The horror, you got them all covered. They get in quick, make their point with style and wit and close out neatly and with precision. The art of the short story is still alive, thanks god, thanks to you. I still think you should be pimping this stuff out and setting up a single Paul Grimsley site, but maybe you know what you're doing. You do when it comes to telling a cool story, I'll give you that. Rage on, I say.

Hah, cool. Continuing the tradition of continuing the tradition of Lovecraft. A ultramodern take on the mythos with humour. Cool mindwarp techno existentialist scifi waffle jargon too. Like this one a lot.

OI! Grimsley! These are great stories. They rock hard as blog writing flash fiction, literary skill enough so they work but a huge fucking market as well the violence and remind a little WSB. Why are you fiddling arseing around making huge pointless social networks? Focus your energy, man. Point all this energy in one direction, these stories. You can be a wanker New York Poet in your spare time. I have made $3, 021 dollars from my writing this year on the internet. That's Australian dollars i.e. no bullshit. How about you? Go look at my blog, and at the very least put me on your blogroll. I wasn't wrong in the fucking Writers Cafe, was I?

Interesting change in rhyme structure after those first four lines.

"Or find someone else we can crucify,"
I'm curious: to love someone [new] is to crucify them? Or to go off and make someone else fall in love with you and not reciprocate it [misdirected revenge] is what's meant by crucify?

"Forget your gender and render the sky
A new colour in your burgeoning eye" - I like this couplet a lot; to coin a reviewer cliche...it speaks to me.

Good write. The rhythm is surprisingly jaunty, considering the content and sentiment.

Arrgh, shit. He was a flawless Master...and now he's possibly fucked.
I like the cynical murderer-inside-joke humour that's been threaded through these Grit pieces
"what the fuck is wrong with me?"
[and 'shoot me when I'm in my car you dumb cunt?' - probably misquoted].
I sense Uncle John may make Grit a job offer he can't refuse...
